After wrapping up the third annual OVO Fest in Toronto this weekend, Drizzy Drake took some time out to chop it up with Much Music about the concert success, and his affiliation with the infamous posthumous Aaliyah album.
Drake reassured us that Aaliyah’s family, old management, and record label all agreed that Drake and 40 are the only ones that can pull off a posthumous Aaliyah album. It was shocking to hear Drizzy say Aaliyah’s family was down with the movement, considering Aaliyah’s family sent out a tweet stating they are not in support of any new Aaliyah albums.

Nonetheless, Drake is ecstatic and believes everyone should be excited about a new Aaliyah album dropping this year, consisting of 13-14 new songs.. Don’t let us down Drizzy!
